The PsychGateway
This Psychology Passion Project is dedicated to making psychology accessible to everyone by breaking down key theories, concepts, and schools of thought in simple, relatable ways. Through insightful conversations with experts, I explore how psychological ideas have evolved and how they apply to real-life situations. The project’s goal is to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and everyday understanding, helping people connect with psychology not just as a subject, but as a tool for self-awareness, empathy, and personal growth.
Psychoanalytic Theory
This work explores Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory, revealing how unconscious desires, fears, and memories shape thoughts, emotions, and behavior. It explains the roles of the id, ego, and superego, defense mechanisms like repression and projection, and techniques such as dream analysis. By fostering self-awareness and introspection, Freud’s ideas help achieve emotional balance, personal growth, and a deeper understanding of the mind.

Domestic Violence and It's Impact on Mental Health
Domestic violence is often framed as a legal or social issue, yet its deepest consequences are psychological. Chronic emotional control, fear, humiliation, and power imbalance reshape not only relationships but also identity, nervous system functioning, and long-term mental health. This interview with Ms. Maitrayee Sen examines complex trauma, somatisation, affect dysregulation, intergenerational patterns, and systemic gaps in mental health access in India bringing research and lived realities into mainstream conversation beyond therapy rooms and clinical diagnosis.
